YOUR BODY - YOUR GENDER - YOUR SEXUALITY

EVERYBODY'S RIGHTS

OUR FIGHT

DFPA work to promote the universal right to decide over your own body and sexuality. Our goal is that everyone – regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity – has the knowledge and the possibility to choose the life that they want.

The right to choose is a prerequisite for all individuals to obtain their full potential alongside a sustainable economic and social development.

We work to increase access to contraceptives and sexuality education, and we fight against maternal mortality and discrimination against LGBT people.

We have a fundamental focus on strengthening civil society in the Global South in order to drive real and sustainable change for poor, marginalised and vulnerable groups and to push for the realisation of the SDGs.

Free and well-informed choices about body and sexuality

For more than 60 years, we have worked tirelessly to ensure the right of everyone to make free and well-informed choices about their bodies and their sexuality as well as about their health, family planning and abortion.

We work in Denmark and internationally – from dusty unpaved roads to the high circles of the UN. In the current global climate of political and religious opposition, there is a need for stronger and more focused Danish coordination and cooperation on SRHR and gender equality.

WHY A strong need for intensified support how we work anti-corruption-policy

In close collaboration with partners

As a member of the world’s leading family planning organisation, International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), we fight for the promotion of health and rights in relation to body, gender, sexuality, pregnancy and birth along with 147 sister organisations around the world.

Our partners extend from grass root movements to national and international organisations and together we work to create sustainable change for SRHR.

A FOUNDATION FOR CHANGE A BROAD PORTFOLIO OF PARTNERS

Fighting since 1956

We are Denmark’s largest non-governmental organisation in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), working since 1956.

Our vision is a world in which SRHR are acknowledged and respected as being fundamental to human well-being and sustainable development and a world in which everyone can make their own free and informed choices about sexuality and reproduction without the risk of discrimination.
